Investigators and Quechua
This week has been amazing!!! If you would have told me that I would be teaching missionaries how to sing before my mission, I would have laughed. Three zones in Cochabamba are performing a Christmas concert in a coliseum on the nineteenth, haha. The first practice we were all singing and I ended up teaching the guys all how to sing. I have never been so grateful for my choir experience. The other day I found a tienda (store) that sells Ramen noodles. I almost cried I was so happy haha (jkjk). It is the first food I have found that tastes the same in America. I started of the week with intercambios (exchanges) with Elder Fellows. It was amazing. I learned so much. He reminds me a ton of Matt Webber. We taught a family from Spain here on vacation with their family. It was a really cool lesson, and the spirit was so strong. I realized that I know a ton more Spanish than I think I do. I was able to converse with the people easly... obviously with tons of mistakes. The gift of tongues is an amazing thing. The next day I had another set of intercambios. This time it was in my area. We have one investigator who we have just not been able to connect with. I have been praying and praying that we can find out the needs of this investigator. Daysi, the investigator, has been investigating on and off for 1 year with different missionaries. When we went to visit her we found out that she loves the discussions but her husband hates the Church and doesn't want her to get baptized. She has not been reading her scriptures because her husband doesn't want her to read them. Everyone PLEASE PRAY FOR HER AND HER HUSBAND. I am learning Quechua. Almost everyone in my area speaks it, and so I feel I should start learning it. I'm not sure how it is going to work, because I still have a ton to learn in Spanish!! But I know that with the Lord all things are possible. We also have an investigator who wants to teach me Quechua. I really hope I can learn. Knowing both Quechua and Spanish, I can be a better tool in the Lords hands. Felix Navidad!! Love you guys!
