Christ the Lord
First of all Merry Christmas. I love hearing about all the things you guys are doing. While you have had snow, I have had rain storms and house flooding. I heard before my mission that December was the rainy season and that it rained every day. That was a lie. It only rains in my area, according to other missionaries. We have had huge storms where you can only see ten feet in front of you, and then thirty minutes later you are sweating hot, and the sun is bright. Its no wonder my area is so green. I'm not going to lie - it is probably the prettiest place on earth.
Forgive my grammar and spelling. Those went out the window when I started learning Spanish. I don't have much time this week again. The internet is SOOOO SLOW here. I have seen the Lord's hand in my life so much. I know that he suffered for our sins and he died for us. He knows us personally. He knows me personally. He is My Jesus and I love him with all my heart. Tis' the season. The season where everyone in the world celebrates the life of one man, a man that changed the world. Through His hands he healed the blind, caused the lame to walk, and He raised men from the dead. Through His hands he suffered for our sins. He bled from every pore. Then our merciful Savior healed the ear of he that hateth him. I know this to be true because He wears the marks in His hands of the nails of the cross to prove it. He died on the cross and was then resurrected so we all could be resurrected. Through Him all things are possible. We can try our hardest but we can't accomplish anything without His healing hand. The only way we can give back to Him is to give away our heart, all our desires, to serve His cause. With His strength we can do all things. ALL things. Everyone should take time this week and read 3 Nephi 11. It is the chapter when Christ appears to the Americas. It is a chapter that I think we all don't really appreciate as much as we could. I love all of you and am grateful for your prayers. chau, Elder Heaps
