Tickled Silly To Be In The Play

Well... my mind is completely blank. I had a ton of stuff to write but I completely forgot everything. This week was interesting to say the least. I should really just write a list of things I want to talk about and these letters would be real easy. We started out the week in a trio and everything that could go wrong went wrong, but then it turned into a very pleasant week, and it ended in a baptism. I really struggled this week, because like many of you know, Charlie, my good old friend (dog) died last week. I was really struggling and had a hard time focusing on the work, but in the end it was a great week. I have a book that an older missionary left which is full of quotes from Thomas S. Monson. There is one quote that I just love that has been on my mind. He said:
"The definition of a optimist is someone who doesn't know if life is a tragedy or a comedy, but is just tickled silly to be in the play." Not only does it have so much meaning, but it is hysterical in the way it is written. And it is really so true. Every play has parts that make you laugh, parts that make you tear up, and parts that make you want to have a date with Netflix and whatever is in the fridge and cry all night. The point is that you choose to be happy.
The story line is based on two things. The Protagonist is placed in super hard, or dangerous situations, or by the choices they make, are placed in situations that are hard and dangerous. But the outcome is always based on the attitude and the choices that the protagonist makes. In the end of Romeo and Juliet, they commit suicide. In Westside story, Tony dies. But it is not important what happens, it is the choices we make according to our attitudes. In A Midsummer Night's Dream, if I remember right, they decided that all of it was just a ridiculous dream and go about their lives. When things go wrong, or not according to plan, we can choose to grin and laugh. This week was so ridiculous and hard, its hysterical. I hope that all of you have an amazing week and I love you all.
