Feliz Día de Las Madres
Wow what a great week this was. It was super great to Skype my family. My brothers have gotten so huge it is crazy. Well, Uyuni was super last week, but I couldn't load my pictures again. haha. I promise one day that you will get to see my pictures (Dad edit: we got them!). I got up at four in the morning and drove for 4 and a half hours to get to Uyuni in the morning. I think that actually was one of my favorite parts of the day. Sitting back on the bus looking up at the stars. The best stars in the world are found in the frontier of Bolivia. You can see the galaxy belts in the sky. When we got there we first went to abandoned trains out in the middle of the salt. We took some really cool pictures where we were. After, we drove for 40 minutes to a hotel of salt out in the middle of nowhere. It was crazy. They wanted to charge us for entering, sitting down, and eating food that we brought. haha. We then drove out for another 40 minutes to cactus island, where some of the biggest cactusses in the world are located. It was super cool. We spent forever taking pictures out in the middle of nowhere. It was incredible, you could not tell where the sky and the earth ended. It just blended together, really an incredible sight. We had cambios (transfers) and as I thought, I will be staying another cambio with my companion. Besides this, this week was really a blur. Happy Mothers Day to all of you mothers out there, but most importantly Happy Mothers Day to my mom. I am so blessed to have the mother I have. If anything I miss about mom was the heart to heart at 2 in the morning conversations we had almost every night before my mission. She is my mom and one of my best friends, and best people out there. I love you so much mom and thank you for raising me in the gospel.
