No Substitute for Hard Work
Well this week was a really good week of hard tiring work. It is so satisfying to crash your head on your pillow every night, when you know that you are working hard. This week was a little different from our other weeks, we found ourselves with a ton of open space in our daily schedule. We decided that we were going to visit with all the antiguo investigadors (old investigators) in our area book. The problem is in Bella Vista we don’t have very many real streets or street names for that matter. We organized our registros (records) into smaller areas within our area and every day we tried to visit with all the antiguo investigators in that smaller area. I would like to say we visited with everyone, but since there is no such thing as address it was kinda impossible haha, but the people we did find some really good people to teach and who are ready for the gospel in their lives. We visited with one girl who´s immediate family does not like the church, but casi (almost) all of her extended family are members. Before we came to visit with her she was preparing for baptism and going to church, but her family said she could not be baptized. When we first visited with her she was getting close to her 18 birthday and we are hoping that the spirit can touch her and she will choose to be baptized. We are also visiting with two minus activos (less actives), we didn’t even know existed who live in a house we pass every day. (Look at the old teaching records, missionaries!) We have begun teaching them and it is incredible what an impact it has had in their lives. As missionaries I feel like sometimes you don’t realize how important it is to do La Carpeta De Area (Area Book / Binder). As missionaries we need to do better at utilizing the carpeta de area and also we need to be better at keeping very specific directions to help future missionaries find investigators, and know what they have been taught. I had Intercambios (exchanges) with Elder Conforme this week. It was a really good day. We were able to visit a part of our area a hour away from the center of our area. I love visiting there and I feel if it was just a little more close we could have a ton of success there. Conforme helped me a ton with my Spanish. Helped me break some bad habits with my Spanish. Regardless of not having a very full schedule we were able to complete our goals this week. I have put in a effort to take tons of pictures this week. I hope you like them.
